Meet Jennifer Burkhart
My name is Jennifer Burkhart, M.A.T., CALT, C-SLDS, and I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist dedicated to helping students become confident, capable readers. I provide individualized structured literacy instruction using systematic, explicit teaching methods that strengthen the foundational skills necessary for reading, spelling, fluency, and comprehension.
My journey into dyslexia began with my daughter. Her challenges learning to read gave me firsthand insight into the questions, frustrations, and hopes that many families experience. That journey inspired me to dedicate my career to helping students and their families find the support they need.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students in both public and specialized educational settings, including a private boarding school serving boys with language-based learning differences. Those experiences reinforced something I see every day: with the right instruction and support, students who have struggled with reading can achieve remarkable growth.
